WHO WE ARE
Alternatives.Yes is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization committed to helping
women who are facing pregnancy and providing services that protect and
enhance the lives of these women, their children and their families.
Alternatives.Yes is a service provider of the statewide Alternatives to Abortion
Program created by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and funded through a
grant of the Department of Public Welfare. We became incorporated in 1999
but have been providing crisis pregnancy services since 1986.
The Pregnancy Support Center of Alternatives.Yes exists to:
- Meet the needs of clients by offering caring counseling and referrals for
resources.
- Improve and enhance the physical and mental well being of the woman,
her unborn child and her family throughout pregnancy.
- Offer alternatives to abortion that both the woman and her unborn child
can live with.
- Promote adoption as a viable option to women unable to parent.
Alternatives.Yes won the 'Service Provider of the Year' Award in March 2007 and
March 2005. This is the top award given in the Alternatives to Abortion Program,
and we beat out 126 centers across the state to receive this prestigious honor.
We had over 1015 client visits last year. Almost 25% of our clients are young
fathers who are gaining important parenting skills in our Earn While You Learn
Program and earning 'baby bucks' to get the things they need for their babies.
